Hello there =)
I entered the DeforestAction: Project Borneo 3D contest to have a chance to spend 100 days in Borneo to be part of a 3D Action Movie - helping to save endangered rainforest and orangutans, create awareness about deforestation, and provide a sustainable livelihood for the local community. The project is led by acclaimed conservationist Dr. Willie Smits and Orangutan Outreach - you can learn more about the approach in Willie's TED Talk.
Sadly (for me), I will not be going to Borneo for 100 days as I have not been selected for the Top 50 shortlist. However, there is still a chance for me to take part in the project for a period of two weeks if I can gather enough support!
Will you support my passion for DeforestAction? You can join my network of supporters through a quick website signup.
If I can recruit 500 supporters and sponsor enough land through my network (you can donate below to sponsor land to be redeveloped as part of this project), I'll be invited to visit Borneo to be part of the project! :D
Cheers!

How You Can Help!
You can help by joining my DeforestAction Network and by donating to support the project! As an applicant to the 3D Movie project, I have a special opportunity: I need to recruit 500 supporters and help raise $5,000 to earn an opportunity to visit Borneo and be part of the DeforestAction project in person! You can keep track of my progress below:
What is DeforestAction?
Youth across the planet have united to create DeforestAction - a global collaborative project to halt the destruction of rainforests, create a permanent home for orang-utans, and save the planet. From schools, homes and communities across the world, this project is one of the most important of our time, driven by youth for the future of the world.
The forests of the world are disappearing fast. If we don't do something soon, they will all be destroyed, taking away the habitat of orangutans and other wildlife. In Indonesia alone, a forest the size of 300 football fields is being cut down every hour - to make way for palm oil plantations.
