Molly O'Ray's Action Hub
"Be the change you wish to see in the world!" - Mohandas Gandi
My name is Molly and I am 18 years old from Canada's capital and the quote above, describes how I try to live my life every single day.
I entered the DeforestAction and was an applicant in the project, though I will not be in the top ten I will still be making a difference on the project and am hoping to directly part of the action in Borneo, Indonesia!
I believe the fate of the world sits on the shoulders of todays youth and so as youth we should all do our part to make a difference and impact our beautiful planet in positive ways! That's why I want to go to Borneo and make a difference for the orangutans on the verge of extinction and the future of our planet and forests everywhere. This project will impact the world over and is hope for our future. It's going to be massive and this is where you come in!
If I can recruit 500 supporters and raise $5,000 through my network, I'll be invited to visit Borneo to be part of the project!
You can donate below to sponsor land to be restored as part of this project, and join my network of supporters through a quick web site signup! I can still make a difference in Borneo with your help and support!
Thanks everyone for helping me follow in the footsteps of my environmental heroes! Much love!
How You Can Help!
You can help by joining my DeforestAction Network and by donating to support the project! As an applicant to the 3D Movie project, I have a special opportunity: I need to recruit 500 supporters and help raise $5,000 to earn an opportunity to visit Borneo and be part of the DeforestAction project in person! You can keep track of my progress below:
What is DeforestAction?
Youth across the planet have united to create DeforestAction - a global collaborative project to halt the destruction of rainforests, create a permanent home for orang-utans, and save the planet. From schools, homes and communities across the world, this project is one of the most important of our time, driven by youth for the future of the world.
The forests of the world are disappearing fast. If we don't do something soon, they will all be destroyed, taking away the habitat of orangutans and other wildlife. In Indonesia alone, a forest the size of 300 football fields is being cut down every hour - to make way for palm oil plantations.
